I had a fantastic time at LCS and learnt so much. I never thought I could be this creative. All the tutors are very friendly and extremely helpful too.
Thank you LCS for such an amazing 6 weeks - I loved the hands on editorial shoots in preparation for real work situations.
I have loved this course and I am so glad I chose to study at LCS . I have learnt so much and can't wait to come back and study the LCS Foundation in Editorial Styling course.
I really liked all the lectures and guest speakers and the lectures given by Wendy were my absolute favourite.
LCS has given me a stepping stone into the world of great contacts. It's given me a new outlet of work opportunities that I never imagined possible as I now live in London after moving from Norfolk to pursue my love of styling. Friends are made that life can't forget and I still keep in contact with every fellow student proving, that LCS is not only a college of great advice and teaching but a unique and friendly environment where we all help each other.
LCS has been a fantastic stepping stone into the community of fashion and styling for me. It made me think outside the box and realise talents I didn't know I had. From the first customising project I did at LCS, I haven't stopped since and I now customise everything I see and my levels of creativity have developed massively. The business planning at LCS was brilliantly taught and has also inspired me to start new design and styling projects. My real life work placement on Wrath of the Titans has really benefitted me beyond belief in learning a deep understanding of the fashion industry and has lead onto fantastic paths that are really exciting for my career and now I can't wait to see what my future holds!
I had an absolutely fantastic time whilst studying at LCS. I have never come across more inspirational and lovely tutors lead by Wendy and Jason. They made my time so enjoyable and I learnt years worth of knowledge from them in only 3 months. The other students were so much fun and overall it was such a wonderful environment to be involved in. I have also been involved in styling fashion items for a TV programme with LCS. I would recommend LCS to everyone.
When I first started at LCS I didn't know what to expect but I felt so welcomed by the tutors and other students. Wendy who founded LCS and Jason Smith head of course lecturing are lovely people and help you so much in order for you to get the very best from the course. I started with a love for fashion but as the course went on I realised just how much I love everything to do with fashion and style and everything I learnt. And I learnt so much over the 12 weeks - the course really throws you in at the deep end at different points but always with expert guidance and tuition so you develop your skills and creativitys. I absolutely loved this LCS course and would recommend it to anyone who has a passion for fashion.
I thoroughly enjoyed all 12 weeks of the fashion styling course at LCS. My particular favourite part was styling the models on location photoshoots. The experience was a good mix of practical against theory. I also found meeting the industry experts very interesting, informative and exciting as well as learning how styling fits into different parts of the fashion industry. The diverse range of projects set was a good grounding for a career in any part of the fashion industry. My particular favourite was the fashion marketing project for Arcadia. The exciting prizes and work placments available to us at the end of the course encouraged us to all work to our full potential. Wendy and Jason were not only great tutors but also became friends and the laid back, informal yet professional atmosphere was a great way to learn.
Since my time at LCS I have learnt so much – the education and class atmosphere are amazing - every detail counts as a stylist. All students learn in the classroom and on the job working on live jobs which help to make sense of everything you have learnt in the classroom. This way you learn and progress very quickly.
LCS has been amazing for me. Under brilliant guidance from all my tutors, I have discovered new talents and been directed into areas of the industry that best suit my styling skills. I have been given opportunities that will help me create a career in styling and LCS has given me the chance to really believe in myself. After studying with LCS I was given the most fantastic live job opportunities including TV/online styling for V Style and editorial styling for Cosmopolitan magazine. This is just the start of a very exciting journey!
The London College of Style is 'the' college for any aspiring stylist. Taught by 'the' professionals, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing a career in fashion styling.
Fashion Styling is a fantastic career choice that requires skill and I am delighted to see the next generation of styling talent being taught the right way by The London College of Style. There's nothing like learning in the real work place and at Cosmopolitan I am delighted to support students who show talent at LCS in offering placements with us.
At Donna Ida, we have been delighted to collaborate with the London College of Style on this exciting visual merchandising project and support up-and-coming industry talent,' said Kim Draper MD at Donna Ida. 'Building links between industry and education in this way keeps new talent coming through and gives the next generation of stylists a chance to show the world what they can do. The London College of Style students have produced windows that are stunning and eye catching rep; they entirely represent the beautiful, classic, styles of Donna Ida and Tucker perfectly and have been a big talking point for our customers.
Hugh Metzger former student from the London College of Style has just worked with us on VStyle, the ezine we produce for online fashion retailer Very.co.uk. Hugh came in to give style advice to three of our readers on video. He was incredibly professional, extremely pleasant to work with and brimming with solid style advice. He was a real pro in front of the cameras (not any easy feat for anyone), very articulate, calm and knowledgeable – far more than I would have expected for his age and experience. It was clear from his overall conduct that he has had some very good training behind him from the London College of Style, something that I think is key to nurturing new styling talent in the current day. Hugh is a star in the making without a doubt.
