E-LEARNING COURSE

The London College of Style (LCS) e-learning foundation course in fashion styling is designed to help you pursue an exciting, glamorous and rewarding career in professional fashion styling.

The LCS online learning system allows students with time or lifestyle constraints to improve their education without having to attend classes at a physical location. We support our students by offering them the flexibility to study in their own environment with the support of designated LCS tutors.

Our courses cover everything that is needed to develop a professional understanding of fashion styling. These courses are available through a combination of e-learning platforms to reflect modern trends in learning. International students and those unable to attend the college will be able to access their course online offering them fresh, exciting 24/7 learning.

With LCS you not only study what you want, when you want, but can be confident of receiving all the help and support you need as your studies develop. The benefits of our courses are that students can enrol at any time of the year, work at their own pace and study around employment or other commitments.

All students will have access to LCS assessors and tutors who specialise in their field of education and are totally committed to helping you succeed on your distance learning course.

The online course is divided into 11 key modules and is designed ideally for students to complete one module every one to two weeks with individual assessment upon completion of each module. Although this is the recommended completion period, the course can be completed within a maximum period of up to 6 months.

All of our course modules can be downloaded online. We can offer course material via the traditional postal system if requested.

After successfully completing all of the course modules, students are awarded the London College of Style Diploma Certificate and a contact resource book.

Entry Requirements

No prior qualifications are required for this course. However, a love of fashion and style is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the English language is also required as students need to demonstrate reading, writing and numeracy skills in order to submit written course work for assessment.

Required materials

All students will need access to a reliable PC or MAC computer with up to date software for creating text and image documents, streaming videos and carrying out internet research. We recommend Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop for composing, scanning and editing your work. It is essential that students have access to a camera (a high quality phone camera will be sufficient) and associated camera leads, in order for pictures to be downloaded onto your computer and prepared for submission.

The cost of the 11 module foundation course is £650 (GBP), inclusive of VAT.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. How does LCS e-learning work?

    Once you have enrolled with us at LCS you will receive access to your online course. You will be able to access all of the course modules online, instantly and at any time of the day or night. At the end of each module you will find a question paper on the work that you have covered which you will be required to submit along with corresponding supplementary coursework / evidence. Only when you feel ready, do you complete and return this to LCS to be assessed. LCS will then mark your paper and return it to you with your individual feedback.

  2. What are the benefits?

  3. Can you study outside UK?

    LCS is an international college and we cater for students all over the World. We encourage and welcome international students to join our learning community. All of our courses are specifically designed to be delivered via e-learning / distance education and home study. The question papers for your course can be completed from the comfort of your own home. There will be no need for you to attend any physical location like a test centre or college.

  4. Do I need qualifications?

    No, our courses are available to students of all academic backgrounds. If you are concerned that you may have difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact one of our friendly course advisors who will be more than willing to discuss the options available to you.

  5. Can I pay by Instalments?

    If you would like to study online through LCS we cannot accept payment for course fees in instalments, instead course fees must be paid in full at the point of enrolment via bank transfer or cheque. Course fees are £650 (GBP), inclusive of VAT. Places on the LCS e-learning course are limited due to the time and resources required to give students the right amount of individual assessment.

  6. Can I contact other students?

    Yes, each course provides you with the opportunity to enter a student forum via facebook. The forum is a designated place for students to share their thoughts and inspirations with each other.

  7. What qualification will I obtain?

    Students who successfully complete the LCS e-learning foundation course will be awarded the LCS diploma of attainment as evidence of having met our required industry standards throughout all 12 modules.
